This training is for health and social care staff in CAMDEN only.
Perinatal mental health disorders are very common. They impact on the wellbeing of mothers, fathers, families and communities and can have far-reaching implications. Primary care has a unique position in identifying people who would benefit from extra support. Locally, referral pathways and services have recently been redesigned so come along and find out more from your local perinatal mental health champion.
Three things we’ll cover:
1) What are perinatal mental health conditions?
2) How can we support women and their families with their mental health?
3) What can local services offer (both NHS and voluntary sector)?
Target audience: GPs, practice nurses, practice pharmacists, HCAs, paramedics and physician associates working in primary care. Others welcome: Health visitors and associated teams (nursery nurses), children’s centre staff, midwives.
